In light of COVID-19 restrictions, UK Government has introduced legislation that gives organisations the temporary right to undertake democratic processes – including AGMs – entirely in a virtual manner. This legislation has been extended until 30 December 2020. As such, the ACI UK AGM will be a virtual (Zoom) meeting..
A key activity at the AGM is the annual election of Officers and Members to the ACI UK Executive Committee. All members are eligible to seek nomination to the Committee (abd/or Officer role). The nomination process requires that you are proposed and seconded by two (other) ACI UK members. Completed and signed nomination forms must be returned by Thursday 20 November 2020.
If you feel you have a contribution to make to the Executive Committee with respect to promoting the value and benefit of ACI UK membership and, active participation in its Represent/Inform/Educate/Charity strands of activity, please put yourself forward! (NB Committee participation is a significant time commitment, including but not limited to attending monthly Committee meetings.and supporting other ACI UK activities).
If you are unable to attend the AGM but wish to participate, please send an email to David Clark, ACI UK Honorary Chairman, by no later than 24 hours prior to the AGM advising that you wish to participate by proxy. The Chairman will collate all proxy votes assigned to him by Monday 16 November to use at the meeting, and will notify those present at the meeting of the total number of proxy votes held/cast prior to the commencement of voting.
