Charity – a cornerstone of ACI UK’s activity

Supporting charitable causes is very important to ACI UK.   Our long standing mandate has been to support children’s charities.

Variety – the Children’s Charity

and the primary recipient of funds raised through member activities – like the ACI UK Annual Charity Golf Day – is Variety, and particularly the Sunshine Coach programme which provides minibuses for  schools, hospitals and hospices working with disabled and disadvantaged children.

Over the past 20 years, the fund raising efforts of ACI UK (with help from the Forex Ireland Golf Society) and the fantastic generosity of our members has funded the purchase of more than 50 Coaches, helping 100s of children in the UK to enjoy a better quality of life.

We also support Variety’s annual ‘Big Top’ Christmas Party for some 600 children from London and surrounding areas.

Futures for Kids

ACI UK also supports Futures for Kids, established by individuals in the European futures industry to support children’s charities globally. FFK events include the challenging ‘Walk to Work’ in which participants are sponsored to walk ‘to work’ over distances ranging from around 8 to over 30 miles.

The four ‘legs’ of the Walk to Work  take in the Thames riverside (North and South) as well as a number of London parks (and streets) to  create a circle around London with a circumference in excess of 30 miles.  Each leg has a route into the City, the final destination, so walkers can determine how much of the route ‘to work’ they want to cover.

The 2016 FFK Walk to Work took place on May 13 2016.  Watch out for information about the 2017 Walk to Work event.
